Ever Considered a “Virtual Partnership”?

Before I decided to retire from practicing law, I seriously considered the possibility of establishing a “virtual partnership” where the firm lawyers actually worked from remote locations (including their homes if desired), and simply used video conferencing, virtual assistants, and other collaborative vehicles for purposes of creating the “binding” that would offer the benefits of a larger firm.  I found the concept appealing on a number of fronts, including the ability of solos to project the image of a larger presence and have access to greater resources amongst the “collective” (a concept emphasized in the “Borg” episodes of Star Trek, the Next Generation), but still be able to keep overhead at a minimum.
