Recently, I have been reporting on the potential marketing opportunity that exists in online games for entertainment, in the form of “Advergames”. While this concept has been around for about 10 years, the concept is still relatively new, and now that the investment necessary to get started has been lowered from the hundreds of thousands of dollars to less than a couple thousand, interest is picking up.
The reason this concept is so appealing is that our community is turning to games for entertainment in droves. Remember it’s a $10.3 billion dollar market, and it’s growing. People are playing from their computers, on the Internet, and now, even on their cell phones!
